What is 5 Days of Xmas?
5 Days of Xmas (5DOX) is an event Interact hosts for the last week of school before winter break (December 12-16, 2022). The 5 events include Peppermint Predictions, Hot Chocolate, Breakfast with Santa, Candy Canes, and Cards and Buttons!
Peppermint Predictions: Students are encouraged to come to the glass display case to try their luck guessing how many peppermints are in the jar for a chance to win a gift card.
Hot Chocolate: Interact prepares cozy cups of hot chocolate to warm students and staff as they enter the school in the morning.
Breakfast with Santa: As our biggest 5DOX event, Interact executives prepare a full breakfast and two holiday photobooths for students to enjoy in the morning. The Salvation Army and Buy-Low Foods has proudly sponsored the event, supplying us with ingredients and utensils. Breakfast with Santa is in our school cafeteria from 8:00-9:00 am. This year, tickets were sold for $8.
Candy Canes: Accompanied by the Burnaby South Handbell Choir and Band, Interact executives distribute free candy canes to people arriving at school through the main entrances at Burnaby South.
Cards and Buttons: Interact delivers customized holiday cards and buttons to people at Burnaby South who placed orders during our sales beforehand.
